Newsgroups: sci.environment X-Complaints-To: admin@plethora.net I think we've all agreed that compact flourescent, while a big step forwards, really doesn't solve all the problems we need solved. Luckily, under market pressures, amazing things can happen. Today, I saw a *seven watt* incandescent bulb! 7W! My smallest compact flourescent bulb is 11W. I think this is a real step forwards, and I suspect that these new "environmentally friendly" bulbs will be a substantial part of my energy saving plan in years to come. These bulbs are also a lot smaller than bulky compact flourescent bulbs. I don't know about the rest of you, but I have a number of lamps I haven't been able to convert to flourescent, because the bulbs just don't fit. The 15W incandescents, though, will fit in nearly any lamp. -s -- Copyright 2000, All rights reserved. Peter Seebach / seebs@plethora.net C/Unix wizard, Pro-commerce radical, Spam fighter.
