If you felt compelled to click your way over here, you've seen the "references" page, and you may be the kind of reader it's aimed at. Eventually, most of this site will have footnotes which lead to (and are led to from) the references page. The idea is to provide an anti-index; an index sorted by chronological order of when I thought of footnotes, not by content, relevance, or anything else. You may enjoy guessing what the footnotes are about before following the links "back" to the footnoted material. (In an ideal world, each footnote's number will take you back to the link that normally leads to that footnote.)
