Ike Njaka, the guy who runs Complex Capital Mortgage, agreed to a settlement in mid-January. In late January, I signed the settlement agreement. In late February, he sent his lawyer a check that was about $100 too small. We got a settlement agreement from him, dated March 2nd. I do wonder whether Complex Capital sent any faxes between January 25th and March 2nd. Today, we got a check signed by him, not passed through his lawyer’s trust account. This check was rejected by the bank due to insufficient funds.
It takes balls to bounce a settlement check. Melon balls. In your skull, where the brain would be in a normal person. I mean, really. What was he thinking? Maybe next he’ll say he wrote “paid in full” on the check stub in his checkbook, so the debt is satisfied. He owns this idea, you know; he wrote it and sent it to himself by certified mail.
What a maroon. Maybe he’ll pay up by noon tomorrow. Maybe he’ll be back in court.
I feel really bad for his lawyer.

You know, not every check bounce is intentional. Granted, it can be tiresome giving the benefit of the doubt to these criminals all the time, but it’s worth keeping in mind.

Seebs: excellent deconstruction of the marriage forum of CF which is in effect a microcosm of the shortcomings of marital help from fundamentalists total. It serves to illustrate why we tend to avoid CF as much as possible. I had a problem with one little Calvinist whelp on another forum who claimed therapists were the enemies of Christians. Thanks.

I went to lunch several days ago and I am quite sure that I heard several folks talking about Complex Capital Mortgage…I believe I overheard them saying that payroll checks have been bouncing as well…WOW! I wonder if this character (the officer who runs the company) comprehends what he is doing?

I garnished the corporate bank account a few weeks ago and executed upon it last week.
My apologies to the employees who had their paychecks bounce. Y’all have a cause of action against Complex Capital under Minn. Stat. sec. 181.

I just came across this thread.
My wife recently quit working at Complex Capital Mortgage in February when her payroll checks bounced. We have filed a judgment and won and have liens on every asset he owns. This guy Ike is the slimiest form of people I have ever known. If anyone has any information on how to garnish a corporate account, please let me know! At least our lien will be in a position before the Feds. Ike has also been indicted for 2.8M in tax fraud. Go figure…

What state?

Again, what state? I couldn’t find a federal entry in Minnesota.

All of this took place in Minnesota. Thanks for getting back to me - sorry about 4 months later for me getting back to this thread. haha

Is the guy still in business? I heard seebs_lawyer filed a second suit for the subsequent faxes. How’d that turn out?
